We are a rapidly expanding cryptocurrency exchange, fully registered and licensed in Estonia. As part of our strategic growth, we are actively seeking an experienced and innovative Board Member to bring their profound regulatory and banking sector expertise to our dynamic digital finance environment.
In this critical leadership role, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the company's full compliance with all relevant Estonian and EU financial market and cryptocurrency regulations. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of top-level management in an Estonian bank, coupled with a deep and practical understanding of financial regulations, particularly as they apply to emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of robust regulatory compliance frameworks across all company operations.
Act as the primary point of contact and representative for the company with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and legal advisors.
Ensure strict adherence to Estonian and EU laws pertaining to financial services, anti-money laundering (AML), know-your-customer (KYC) procedures, and cryptocurrency operations.
Estonian citizenship or permanent residency status.
Documented experience as a Director or in similar senior management position in a bank operating in Estonia.
Exceptional and practical understanding of Estonian and EU financial regulations.
Comprehensive understanding of AML/CFT requirements and MiCA regulations
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and proactively ensure compliance.
Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets and digital asset business models.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with regulators and internal teams.
Clean regulatory background with no sanctions or disqualifications.
Fluency in English and Estonian.
